Singing can be learned, singing can be taught. A melodious and powerful voice is not solely dependent on the talent of the singer. Singing is a highly coordinated, psycho-physiological process that can, in principle, be learned by anyone.
Potential Oriente Vocal Training (POVT) is aimed at those who are seeking new ways to approach the instrument of the voice. Regardless of the level (professional or amateur) or usage (singer or speaker) and of the musical genre (classical, pop, jazz, rock, etc.), POVT can help us understand how the voice works and therefore help us optimize our usage of the instrument. It particularly appeals to voice teachers and coaches who wish to acquire new competencies in this field.
We are convinced that within every person lies the potential for a beautiful and powerful voice. Vocal success can be achieved through conscious learning of physiological sequences and the practice of new psycho-physiological communication petterns. In this manner, the usage of the voice becomes more efficient and powerful all while the singer maintains long-term vocal health.
Vocalists no longer perceive their singing as a random product of a subconscious process, but rather can intervene deliberately in the process, shapin it positively, and thus more fully unlock their distinctive vocal potential.
Voice development and personality development are inherently linked. Potentiel Oriented Vocal Training accompanies individuals in a safe space during the process of discovering their own unique vocal timbre and their own expression of individual personality. The discovery of efficient and healthy vocalisation supports the development of a positive self-reference - two aspects that are always in dynamic interrelationship with one another. Over time, this resuls in a completely new mental concept of the process of singing, which becomes anchored in the individual and forms the basis of joyful, efficient, and powerful vocal expression. Moreover, it can have far-reaching effects on the development of the entire personality.
My decades of experience enable me to consitently and comprehensibly accompany the development of the singers entrusted to me. Additionally, I possess a solid vocal pedagogical concept that allows me to comprehensively train and supervise colleagues. A central component of Potential Oriented Vocal Training is "functional vocal pedagogy", developed by American vocal pedagogue and voice researcher Eugine Rabine (1940-2018). I shared with him a deep interest in and love for the human voice. Through decades of research, Eugen Rabine developed a clearly structured method that fundamentally considers tha anatomical, physiological, and psychological aspects of human nature. Current scientific findings are continuously incorporated into the method, thus making singing (and powerful, healthy speaking) a comprehensible, learnable, and teachable process. The Rabine method is supplemented in Potential Oriented Vocal Training (POVT) by additional pedagogical and therapeutic compontents (such as TRE®, Feldenkrais, Somatic Experiencing, among others), which further facilitate the learnability and teachability of this complex matter.
